About me

I am Julien Ouellet, a philosopher specializing in analytic philosophy and a resource tutor in philosophy at Cégep à distance. With my academic background and various professional experiences, I am committed to making philosophy accessible and relevant, particularly in the context of distance education in Quebec.

I hold a master’s degree in philosophy and a graduate certificate in higher education pedagogy. My specialization in contemporary analytic philosophy is at the heart of my intellectual approach, which I enrich with a strong interest in collaborative philosophy, inspired by the works of Matthew Lipman and Ann Margaret Sharp. This combination allows me to offer precise and rigorous reflection while fostering an open and participatory dialogue.

In addition to my role as a resource tutor, I have gained diverse experience in fields such as web management, product development, and technical support. As the web director at Molotov Communication (2022-2023) and product manager at Neuroflex (2019-2021), I learned to manage complex projects and collaborate effectively with various teams—skills I translate into my pedagogical approach.

Recently, I co-published an article on the emergence of analytic philosophy in Quebec in Philosophiques. I am also the founder and director of the Philosophons ! podcast, a collaborative reflection project available on Spotify and other platforms, inspired by the methods of Lipman and Sharp.

I firmly believe that analytic philosophy, combined with a collaborative approach, can transform the way we understand and interact with the world. My commitment to distance teaching and my passion for philosophy enable me to support a diverse audience in developing their critical thinking and exploring major philosophical questions.

I am excited to contribute to the development of philosophical skills in the Quebec population and to assist those who wish to enrich their intellectual and personal journey through philosophy.
